Jane Munden qualified as a Solicitor in 1994. She became a Partner in the firm in 2001. She has well over 20 years experience in dealing with all aspects of Family Law.
Jane is a member of the Law Society Advanced Accreditation Scheme and also the Law Society Children Accreditation Scheme. These are both specialist Accreditations. The latter is to represent both parents and children in proceedings brought by the Local Authority for Care Orders.
Her Family Law Accreditation relates to domestic violence in the home and Private Children Law i.e. residence and contact disputes.
She is also a member of Resolution. In addition, she covers all aspects of divorce. This includes same sex marriage and Civil Partnerships. She advises on financial matters flowing from divorce and dissolution and her cases have ranged from couples who have had very high value assets including companies, rental properties and pensions, to cases where the parties have very limited assets and their needs have been a major factor.
She also advises in cases where the parties have not married but own property together.
After graduating from the University of Sheffield, Jill qualified as a Solicitor in 1979. Jill joined Newman & Bond in 1989.
Jill specialises in all aspects of commercial and residential Conveyancing including property development, business lease and transactions involving agricultural land and charity land.
Adam joined the firm in 2010 as a Trainee Solicitor qualifying in 2012. Since qualifying as a solicitor he has retained a varied workload focusing increasingly on property transactions for the last 4 years.
Adam takes instructions on a range of transactions including both residential and commercial sales and purchases, leases and business sales and purchases. He also has a history of working with business clients dealing with debt recovery matters frequently on the small claims track.
Adam has a strong connection with the area having grown up locally in Penistone and studying in Leeds throughout university.
Through this connection with the area Adam is a keen supporter of Citizens Advice Barnsley and has been involved with the Charity since 2015. Also in his spare time Adam enjoys going to Oakwell to support Barnsley FC whenever possible and getting to the gym or outside for a run or walk.
Hannah Pedley is an Associate Solicitor who joined Newman & Bond in April 2018. Following qualification in 2017 Hannah handled a mixture of property and private client files before choosing to specialise in Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney when she joined Newman & Bond.
Hannah is an Affiliate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is undergoing further qualification in pursuit of attaining her full membership and becoming a recognised Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP). She has handled a variety of different matters and the feedback received from clients has always been extremely positive.
Hannah is local to the area having grown up in Barnsley and studying her postgraduate degree at the University of Huddersfield, graduating with a first class honours. She remained in Yorkshire upon obtaining a position with a Leeds based firm which led to her qualification as a Solicitor in 2017. Hannah returned to Barnsley, joining Newman and Bond in April 2018. She is an Equestrian enthusiast and in her free time enjoys competing her horses at a local, affiliated and County level.
Kate Ward is an associate solicitor based in our conveyancing department. Kate qualified as a solicitor in September 2008 and has over 10 years’ experience in all aspects of residential property. She has also dealt with land sales and purchases and adverse possession.
Kate is local to the area and studied law at Sheffield University. She enjoys reading, foreign travel and helping out on the family farm.
David Wilson joined the firm in August 2019 as an associate solicitor in the civil litigation department. He deals with all types of personal injury claims. He has over 20 years of experience in dealing with such cases and with the local area having previously worked for many years at another firm in Barnsley.
Outside work David has a keen (his wife would say obsessive) interest in cricket and is the groundsman at Darton CC. He also umpires in a local league and still turns out for Darton when they are short!
